Swimming with Venu 3S does not show different styles

Hi guys,

I have two watches, a Venu 3 and a Venu 3S. Settings are identical. But the 3S does not show change in swimming style (freestyle, breaststroke) after training in the app. The 3 does show them (I know, I have to turn the phone). Any ideas?

Sadly even after a replacement it still does not work. Apparently I am swimming wrong/too slow. And what really pisses me of... after I got the watch, everything worked fine. So I am kind of sure that…

Hey, I just bought the Venu3 and I have the same question. The watch thinks I am swimming breaststroke when I am swimming freestyle and also says I am swimming freestyle when I am doing butterfly ??
I can tell what style I am swimming in Garmin Connect by looking at stroke count but would be nice if watch was able to work it out, it is supposed to be able to...
I haven't tried breaststroke or backstroke yet :-)
edit - ummm, reread OP. Their 3 can correctly identify the style but 3S cannot, so my 3 should correctly identify style also...
