Can the Venu 3 automatically detect/determine Max HR?

My max HR is way off on teh Venu 3.  I’m in good shape, but I’m also 71.  My doctor said there is NO way that my max HR is 177.  I was hoping there was an automatic correction built into the Venu 3.  If not, then this is not a health watch; its just a glorified pedometer (to me.  You are free to judge this on your own).  Another Garmin is also off the table.  And, i hate the look  of the “sport” watches.  And, the new ones are too expensive to keep spending on their misguided market segmentation plan.

And, it may be time to look elsewhere.  It appears that Apple can do it.  I hate to get stuck in the locked up Apple Garden, but if it works….
