Battery management menu

The battery management menu opens spontaneously. Why I can’t understand. Please fix this. Version 9.24

  • This seems like it may be related to this post.

Our higher support team wants to review this but is requesting a video of this occurring. Would you please upload a video here so that I may pass it forward and also answer the following questions:

    • Do we have permission to email you?
    • May we access your Connect account?
    • What country do you reside in?
  • Hi there, I’m having the same issue. I’m not sure how I can upload a video as the error does it sporadically. But you are welcome to email me on the email address on my account for more info. Thank you

  • Is it possible you use a watch face that has a tap-and-hold option to launch the battery menu? If you rest the watch face on something, like your leg or arm, it can launch those apps without you intending for it to happen, particularly if the data field is close to the edge of the watch face.

  • Thanks Scott, yes I’ve also read that on the other threads but sometimes I will literally be typing on my laptop and nothing is touching the watch face and it will switch screens. If it was indeed the tap and hold option, how would you deactivate that option without deactivating entire the touch screen, as it is an annoying setting to have on - I can find the solution for deactivating the touch screen for Vivoactive 4 but nothing for the 5…I still believe from reading other threads that this error has happened since the software update.

  • But the worst thing is not this, as it turned out, sometimes at night this menu also opens and the energy saving function is magically activated there. As a result, in the morning there are no statistics. Yes, this is a custom dial and it’s my own fault for installing it, I understand everything that there will be no correction. But! It seems to me that the function of automatically activating the screen when you raise your hand is not fully implemented correctly. The menu is activated rather when the hand does not rise, but falls down. Okay, let's look for a solution somewhere else. Clock or custom watch face settings

  • . It has been 2 months now since I first reported the issue. I am also on other threads that are just as old, if not older.  Please explain to us how on earth it can take over 2 months for Garmin to find a solution?  This is shocking after sale and customer service! We as consumers paid a premium price for our Garmin watches and we deserve better customer service!
