Venu 3 connection fault

Has anyone had issues with the Venu 3 connecting to google pixel 6 pro phones?

I'm having an issue where the watch will tell me it's connected via Bluetooth and even sync data from the watch to the phone. It will receive phone notifications as well.

The phone is saying "problem connecting" in Bluetooth settings. The phone every 10-20 seconds attempts to reconnect to the watch which in turn drains the battery quickly.

GC app receives the data from my watch and shows the green dot on the top right of my watch icon but is unable to push updates, or modify watch faces, telling me it's unable to connect to the phone.

I've factory reset the watch multiple times, removed the app and cleared the cache from the phone as well as removed the watch from the Bluetooth settings on the phone. The GC app isn't being battery optimised.

I've also tried using my wife's pixel 7 pro and have the same result.

Have a got a watch that's DOA or am I doing something wrong?
