Idle time during timed activity

I have a Venu 3S. What does idle time mean during a timed activity? I am showing an idle time of 7:50. I was not standing idly for 7:50 minutes while walking on the treadmill. Yes my arms were swingjng the entire time

I have the same problem Venu 2S. Ran an 5k outdoors with a constant pace and didn't stop once and it shows idle times 3 times during my run. Average run cadence 179.

I have the same issue, do we need to RMA the watch? MY girlfriend is upset because it makes it look like shes doing nothing. For a month now on every one of her walks/runs ... about 80% of the time it shows idle and she's walking and running the whole time.

I’m having this issue as well. I’m not idle at any point, but I usually have a small chunk of idle time. I’ve tried more arm swing and it makes no difference. Venu 3S

it says that information is not correct for venu 3S. So what does determine idle vs moving for 3S during a walk?
