Dance Activity?

I was looking through badges and I saw numerous badges related to logging a dance activity. For instance:

and of course, many more. So obviously, recording a dance activity is something that should, at least theoretically, be possible.

Except, I don't see a dance activity. I see gaming, And "Navigate", whatever that is supposed to be. But there is no activity called "Dancing."

I checked the Connect IQ Store, since the Connect app says "Get even more activities and apps in the Connect IQ Store app." But the only app related to Dancing available is F3b Dance+, which is a premium app that costs $3.

Now, I am not a cheapskate, but is this app required to log a Dance activity? I don't mind buying it, but it seems pretty stupid if that is the case. Why on earth would "Gaming" be a built-in activity in a fitness device but not dancing?

I recently took up dancing as a hobby so I would very much like to know how to log this activity.

Unfortunately, with cardio activity, even when we press change, after switching to fitness dancing and supposedly registering 15 songs, it does not grant the appropriate badge ;(, so this is not a solution…

No idea about the app, but the Lily 2 (Garmin's new wearable) has a dedicated Dance activity and I think it will be brought to other watches in a future update.

A dedicated gaming mode is added to monitor your stress levels during the game (like how you react to sudden changes in a game or a scary moment, etc) and also see certain metrics like body battery. It is a fun addition but you need a separate app on your laptop/desktop and not all games are supported I guess. Have never tried it.

Guess I will just have to wait for that, I am not going to buy another wearable when I just spent $500 on their watch. Jesus what a racket.

It will come to other watches. Lily 2 is way cheaper than Venu 3 and features introduced on cheaper models, make their way to expensive ones.

We already have a new beta (9.15), but there is no mention of dance activity in it, so my guess is, it would come in the next beta, so hopefully Feb or March.

The Garmin person cannot guarantee that it will come to other watches. But as I said earlier, Garmin usually brings it to all other watches, unless the activity requires a specific hardware. So, features introduced on cheaper models, generally make their way to expensive ones. Naps was introduced on Venu 3, but made its way to all other watches, so it is just a matter of few months.

This worked for me, thanks! Wish I had hit the lap button between songs, lol. I did 45 minutes of Just Dance on the Wii, it was fun!

EXACTLY! And of course, and women who dance only want the smallest wearable at 35mm. They won't add it into the venu 3 or vivoactive 5. It's so annoying. The Lilly 2 has very limited features, yet there is no other watch with dance. It's sexist and ridiculous.
