So if I understand correctly, we cannot turn off automatic nap detection ... and we cannot delete wrong naps that occurred earlier than the present day ? So we are kind of trapped here right ?

We've released several updates lately and have updated the above FAQ. While you cannot disable automatic nap detection, you can edit/delete the naps, however you can only edit or delete naps from the current calendar day. For steps on how to edit or delete your nap see the steps below:
Open the Garmin Connect app.
Select More (bottom right).
Select Health Stats.
Select Sleep.
Select Sleep Coach.
Select the Nap you want to edit or delete.
Select Edit (top right).
To edit the nap start and end time select. Make your changes and select Save (top right).
To delete the nap select .
From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select Health Stats from the navigation bar on the left.
Select Sleep.
Select the Sleep Score tab.
Select the nap you wan to edit or delete.
Select Edit if you want to update your nap start time and end time.
Select Delete to remove the nap from your account.
Hi ! Thanks for your reply. That's indeed what I found while searching around. Even though this offers a solution to a certain point, usually I discover naps only a few days later, and thus it's too late to delete the nap. What's the reasoning behind only allowing the delete during the present day ? What's the impact of allowing the delete at any point in time ?
What about if you want to add a nap that didn't get detected?
