How long does the battery last? Venu 3s

Hello,

I bought my wife the Venu 3s and installed the latest software 8.25.

Unfortunately, the battery lasts without sporting activities, oxygen saturation measurement is only active at night, for a maximum of 3 days.

At night, DND and the display for night mode are activated.

Brightness is also not at maximum, how is it with you?

I'm honestly not so happy with the battery life.

On my Forerunner 955 the battery lasts at least 7 days.

Thanks.

BR

  • Is AOD enabled or turned off?

Turning off PulseOx at night should double battery life at any rate. It's power hungry and rather pointless at the same time.

  • There are a few questions:
    1) Is the AOD turned on? If yes, the battery would last less than 5 days (without any activities). This is further a problem if you spend a lot of time outside (auto brightness can increase the brightness outside and reduce the battery life quicker).

    2) Pulse Ox definitely consumes a lot of battery, and if activated for sleep it is almost 7-8 hours/day.

    3) As mentioned in the first point, if Auto brightness is turned on, it can affect the battery life (if you spend a lot of time outside). I also find the auto brightness to be too bright is most environments (this is my personal preference) and hence I have disabled it.

I use Venu 3 and with AOD turned off and Pulse Ox set to on-demand, I get close to 8-9 days of battery life (with a lot of activities).

Venu 3s has a smaller battery, so I would expect it to last 5-6 days or a little more. But with Pulse Ox turned on at night, it can reduce a lot. You can calculate the reduction, just note the battery reading before the sleep mode kicks in and notice the reading after you wake up, that is approximately the reduction due to pulse ox. My battery reduces by ~3% every night (without pulse ox).
