Dear Garmin,
REDSHIFT feature should not apply to 'Flashlight' feature, as it renders the flashlight feature unusable.
Why, by your logic, should this feature override the functionality of a flashlight? If user wakes in the night and needs light, they are looking to apply an orange or green light or whatever the redshift…
Yes and no. If redshift is enabled, then white flashlight is no longer available. And even red is impacted somehow.
I think I understand what the OP is referring to.
Yes, it is during sleep (I have turned on Redshift for sleep) or whenever you manually turn on Redshift. Once Redshift mode kicks in, the flashlight also…
Press the plus/minus buttons. It cycles through brightness and red or white color.
I need the red for nighttime hunting activity.

Is this during sleep or DND? Maybe red shift is enabled in a different manner, seems that more detail is needed.
I don't experience what you are describing. Red shift is enabled for my sleep watch face.
I think I understand what the OP is referring to.
Yes, it is during sleep (I have turned on Redshift for sleep) or whenever you manually turn on Redshift. Once Redshift mode kicks in, the flashlight also mimics the color of the Redshift mode (Red or Orange or Green) and it is no longer White.
I worked through the settings as well.
When redshift is enabled (during sleep, after sunset) the flashlight is the same color as redshift. Makes perfect sense to me, and I like the way it works. However, I could go for the option of white light and red light, just as the flashlight does under non-red shift conditions.
Anyway, this isn't a feature request forum. OP needs to submit the request for it red shift flashlight behaviour to change to same as non-red shift.
Why, by your logic, should this feature override the functionality of a flashlight? If user wakes in the night and needs light, they are looking to apply an orange or green light or whatever the redshift setting is are they? That feature is specifically designed to reduce light to not interrupt circadian rythm. The purpose of the flashlight is to emit as much light as possible to light up a dark area. Therefore the two features are in conflict where they should be independent, this is basic stuff that should have been factored into the user experience design processes. It is clearly an oversight. Further this is not a tactical watch, it is a daily wearable smart device. Im retired now but wouldn't never dream of wearing this thing on ops so suggesting the red light is more advantageous is propersterous. I'm not on exercise. I'm at home and maybe going to bathroom in middle of night or something stupid like that.
Why you keep commenting on all my posts intended to improve the device for other users, simply to defend the nonsensical is beyond me.
Redshift should not impact flashlight. If you had a different colour than red selected in the setting, such as orange, as I do, you would realise why this feature affecting flashlight feature is completely stupid and I'll thought out.
