Venu 3 ski tracking counts vertical from lift rides, and is recording an extra "lap" while loading the lift

Hi, I just switched from a forerunner 645 to a venu 3, and the downhill ski tracking has a couple of problems my old forerunner didn't have.

I did 5 runs this afternoon, about 2,000 ft each, but it says my total elevation was over 21,000 ft. So it seems to be doubling the vertical gain, probably by counting time on the lift?

It also seems to be adding an extra short "lap" at the base of each run, 30-60 seconds each, probably while loading the lift? When the activity sync's to Strava, Strava counts these as extra runs and shows the activity having 10 runs instead of 5. But the Strava activity correctly only shows around 10,000 ft of vertical so it probably automatically discarded the "up" movement.

My old forerunner 645 handled all this correctly so this is pretty disappointing Disappointed

I'm running software version 8.25 which I think is the latest. I saw a thread one of the Forerunner forums about similar issues but it was closed, saying they were fixed in the latest update. Will the Venu 3 be getting the fixes later?

Thanks!
