For me, it never showed the WhatsApp images on my watch. It shows the image icon, followed by the text (if any). Can anyone confirm if you get images displayed on your watch from WhatsApp or any other app? I am curious.
Interesting - to me after first use I got some previews of images on Whatsapp but after a few days it stopped working! It is definitely possible but I don't know what to do.
I contacted Garmin on this asking for a definative list of Apps that images should display from and after many emails they couldnt provide one. I pointed out that was bad form considering this feature is pushed in the marketing material.
I get photos from the Google SMS programme all the time, I has to change from the native Samsung one as it didnt work. I get images randomly from Face Book and Messenger and Google Photos. I can see no reason why this happens but its great when they appear.
I hope this helps you with apps that may work for you. Hopefully Garmin will be working on the integration and thing will improve over time.
Reviving this old thread... for me what is happening is that images will not show on the watch, the watch goes back to the normal watch face, and then if I pull up the message and tap on the image icon on the watch I can see the image. OR... if I get another WA message from the same person with another image I see both images when that second message pops on my watch. Even if I have not manually clicked to get the first image. Anyone else? I don't know if this is a Garmin issue or a WhatsApp issue.
