Long list of everyday usage bugs/issues

Hello,

just want to recap  a list of bugs in my new Venu 3 (I sold Venu 2 plus for "upgrading").

Software version: latest beta (same issues found with the latest stable version too) and I tried everything from Bluetooth unpairing, Garmin connect uninstalling, Venue 3 resetting.

Phone: OnePlus Nord 2 Android 13

1) Cannot answer calls from my watch, 5/10 times... The phone continues to ring but the display on my watch shows me it is answered (obviously it is not).

2) Voice assistant works 7/10 times... Obviously it won't connect when I really need it. In this case, display says it's not connected but google assistant on watch is ok... So if I ask a question my phone is answering and not my watch.

3) Rarely it freezes, vibrate continuously for like 30 seconds and restarts by itself (this has not happened to me since 2 weeks);

4) I have android auto, same thing when I answer a call from my auto it says it is connected but the voice is on the speaker of my phone... If I disconnect from Bluetooth settings the Garmin venue 3 connection the phone is able to transmit the voice of calls on my auto speaker... So everytime I want to speak with someone on my auto I have to disconnect Bluetooth on my watch or disconnect from my phone setting.

5) I rarely go run, but when I tried to connect my OnePlus Buds Pro to the watch and playing music through Spotify offline, the watch cannot let me change volume (it was stuck).. So I restarted watch and it was fine. Then 10 days ago same thing happened and I had to restart the watch for controlling song volume.

+ bonus question: I'm in beta because I read about skin temperature, but I cannot find it nowhere (neither on sleep coach or morning routine). How can I activate it or find that info? Thanks!

All those things are very very frustrating in everyday life... Hopefully it will be fixed sometime but I remember in the last months I had the same problems with Venu 2 plus.

    First you need to install from Connect IQ Estimated Body Temperature Data Field

    After it's downloaded and installed on your watch, set it up as a data field on one of your screens

  • 7.0.7 version drains battery. 2% battery per 1 hour

  • I think something else causing your battery drain. Mine drains about 1% per hour with AOD on most of the day (it's off during sleep time). After three days it's at about 40% when I charge it. Do you have SP O2 tracking constantly? That will use more battery.  

  • Anyone else can confirm all these issues??? The most frustrating and daily usage one is the call answer on watch..

    6) Sometimes just cannot check (failing to download) images sent to me in Whatsapp! This, like the voice assistant and the calls, happens frequently but no everytime... And I cannot find why, maybe the position of the phone in the pocket?

    It's so frustrating because if all the above go everytime well, this could be the perfect watch! But it is so buggy (or at least it is with my OnePlus Nord 2).

  • I am also experiencing the same issues and have had this watch for almost one month. Glad that I purchased it from Amazon as it is being returned. Constantly disconnects from phone, have never been able to utilise the phone features, never been able to use voice command as it wont set up. Now I am at the point where "Pairing failed" is all I have seen for the past 24 hours. Was happy to see I had the ECG function and then disappointed to see it had been taken away. To be honest I expected a better service from Garmin.

  • My case is really worst:

    I bought mi Venu 3 on January 2nd, made a couple runs and some swimming and suddenly screen becomes unresponsive and then turn of. Nothing I ca do could make it turn on .. its completely dead. I live in Uruguay but i bought the watch in Panama so I wrote to Garmin Support and they told me to send it to Panama and went to Garmin Uruguay representative and told me the same.

    So I have and useless 500 dollars watch plus .. Garmin support sucks and Garmin warranty is only useful if U buy the watch in your country

  • Hi same problem for me, bluetooth is a major issue : disconnecting, cannot answer the phone until the watch has stopped ringing, while speaking in bluetooth ear phnes it always disconnct tongo tonphone speaker … can receive notification instagram, messenger but not sms

    i have a samsung s23 fe, this watch has not even close reach any of my expectations

    anyone has a solution to make bluetooth?

  • I returned my Venu 3 and went back to using my Vivoactive 3 because it kept disconnecting from my phone which required a factory reset and the workout rep count was too inaccurate to use. There were other issues as well. I'll try the watch again after they work out these issues.

  • I wish I did the same, but Garmin Taiwan has a stupid 7 day return policy only (I guess so). I am totally disappointed with Garmin and I seriously pray they never release another Venu watch.

    People should really stop buying this watch unless they need the wheelchair.

    There is literally nothing smart about this watch. How is this a smartwatch if I cannot toggle between multiple locations for weather, using the weather widget. Such stupidity and limitations, and many more issues. This is maybe a smart watch in 2010, not in 2025.
