Can you remove ECG so that you can disable 2FA?

Like a lot of people, I was pranked today by enabling ECG on my Venu 3, which forced me to turn on 2FA, only to discover that this completely breaks all 3rd party integration tools. I'm now stuck with the "^*Permanent two-step verification has been enabled." message on 2FA settings page.

Is there any way to remove the ECG functionality so that I can therefore turn off 2FA? I would much rather have 3rd party integration tools than I would the ECG app.

third party integrations should not trigger tfa requests.

the integration uses the oauth technique to authenticate.

No, once activated, always activated. At least until Garmin changes it.

Is there really no way to do this? I just got a Fenix 7 and stupidly turned on the ECG. Now I'm stuck with the 2FA enabled. My resting heart rate is too low to get ECG feedback anyways apparently.

No, there is no way to do this.
The only option would be to open a new account with Garmin.

Sort of late for you, but maybe good for someone. I just got my Venu and skipped the 2fa prompt. I was surprised to see ecg was still setup and working. It appears the 2fa is solely to protect the web ecg data. Without 2fa, my ECGs don't get uploaded but I can take them.

same issue here. Why not allow for the removal of 2FA once all ECG data is deleted from Garmin Connect? I'd rather not have ECG than 2FA!

Wondering if I went back to factory settings and then set up again (with same account login) - will it work to say no to ECG and thus, NOT have permanent 2FA?

Trying to disable 2fa as it destroyed my automation. I hate Garmin not allowing to remove 2fa. It’s unbelievable
