F/W 7.07 seems to have fixed the 2 LED HR sensor

On the Venu 3 the 2 LED HR sensor runs, except for when Venu 3 is recording an activity or broadcasting HR via Bluetooth. During these time it fires up the better 4 LED HR sensor.

The 2 LED sensor seemed to be stuck at ~86bpm, even when indoor cycling (but not recording on the Venu 3) with a HR of 140+bpm (as displayed on Edge 830 + chest strap HRM).

Today after the 7.07 F/W install, the 2 LED HR detection seems to be fixed!

It tracked extremely well as compared to the Edge with Chest strap HRM.

Is there any way to turn the 4 LED sensor on *outside* an activity? I'm recovering from COVID, and my heart rate can get into the 130s doing everyday activities, but the HR sensor on my Venu 3 tends to get stuck around 110 unless I'm in an activity.

Hmm, how bad is Bluetooth broadcasting on the battery? Is it literally broadcasting, or just offering the heart rate data to devices that ask?

Thanks for the hint and pointing out the different hr led modes!

so in normal mode, only 2 leds are active. When I start „send hr“ all led get active. But when I disable it afterwards, all led stay active. Also waiting for a while doesn’t change it. Only power cycle does.
is this a bug or a feature?

The Venu 3 manual doesn't write what protocol it is:

But with BLE it would also broadcast it to everybody.

HR registration doesn't start automatically after update. Need to reboot everytime. Any thoughts? Thx. Rgrds Arno
