Training effect

I currently have a Fenix 6. Seems like the venu 3 does not have training effect. If i use my Fenix 6 while cycling with a power meter and do not wear the venu 3 at that time, when i sync, would all my workout data transfer to the venu 3 ?

I like the screen of the venue 3 and the readiness score that i do not have with the Fenix 6.

The Fenix 7 pro is too expensive and i would like a lighter watch too

  • I'm using a Forerunner 745 for some sport activities because the Venu 3 lacks so much functionality that I occasionally need (Extended display, threshold detection, rower support and so on)

    Here's what works:

    • Workouts tracked on the 745 will appear on the V3
    • Steps, HR, Recovery time and intensity minutes are updated on the V3
    • Workouts tracked with the V3 are included in the training load calculation on the 745

    What doesn't seem to work

    • Workouts tracked with the 745 have no affect on the body battery status on the V3
    • Same goes for the sleep coach

I only received the V3 last week and haven't much training so there could be some settings that I have to change around or things could change with later firmware updates.

Also keep in mind that the V3 only has the HRV status and no readiness score.

  • Thanks for the great explanation. Just what I needed to know. Too bad body battery does not transfer. That is a drawback. I wonder how users that use an edge cycling computer do then if it does not sync bb with their watch.
