Notifications disappear so quickly and are not stored/kept

At least the Venu 1 also worked like this. I can swipe the screen a few times down, where I see the active notifications on my phone though on the V1. 

No, it shouldn't work that way. As long as you're not forgetting/pairing the watch to different phones constantly, the notifications should stay on the watch until you dismiss them. As suggested, be sure your notifications Glance is in the Glance list since that's where they're stored.

Also, you can modify the time notifications are displayed, giving you more time to read them.

I only have one (Pixel 5) phone. and yes, I have notifications in the glance screen. From main screenn I can swipe up or down and see also notifications. But I almost always have zero. Once I read the notification it disappears. Sometimes even without me reading it. Definitely they do not last there for more then a few seconds. Also how do I modify the time the message is dispalyed? Thanks!

Same problem with my Vivoactive 5 that I got a week ago. It’s set up and paired correctly with my iPhone 13, and everything works and syncs just fine. But unless I’m staring at the watch, it’s close to impossible to react so quickly that I can read the notification. It disappears a second or two after feeling the watch vibration, and the notification is not available on the watch after the message on the phone screen has disappeared. The problem is just with the Garmin watch notifications, like achievements, goals and supportive messages like «be more active» or «take a pause». Notifications from the phone, like sms messages, stays in the notification queue and can be read at a later time.

Hi, I don't if problem is still valid but in

Settings -> Notifications & Alerts ->  Smart Notifications -> Privacy

change for Action or Gesture.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve tested, but sadly it didn’t help. The supportive notifications disappear just as quickly, no matter if the privacy setting is set to off, action or gestture. 

After few weeks with Garmin I realized the LOGIC of notifications  in Garmin is totally different  from the other smart watch I had before. The notifications on Garmin watch are only those notifications that are shown on notification panel on the phone. Once you remove the notification from the panel, the notification is removed from the watch. This was for me very confusing behaviour because my former watch stored all messages in the watch (like a copy of the phone message) until I removed them.  So it is not a problem of Garmin, it is a feature...

This is driving me crazy! However, from reading the thread, I can see two different problems. The notifications that come from the phone are synced with the phone, at least on my iPhone. If I read them on either, they disappear. Which is good.

The real problem is with Garmin's own notifications, like the prompts to move, about stress, etc. You get a vibration and by the time you've managed to look at the watch, it's GONE. You'll never know what it was.

It's winter and to reach my watch I have to "dig" for it because I'm wearing a heavy coat, heavy sweater, etc. I've given up on reading these notifications, I'm never quick enough.
