I think I have all the settings correct, but the watch does not speak the pace every mile during a run. Any advice?

Settings > Audio Prompts > Pace/Speed Alert
Yep. It's on and set to 'lap'
If you're expecting the automatic 1 mile pace alerts voice to come from the speaker on the watch itself, that is only for calling and music playback. For pace alerts and other voice audio prompts, you'll need Bluetooth headphones. This is the same as the Venu 2 Plus.
That's not true. If you press the bottom button to do a manual lap count, then you get an announcement from the watch speaker.
Do you have, turned on Auto lap setting under Run activity settings?
It works for me perfectly. All was set to on as default.
You might be right. I have the venu 2 plus, and just assumed the venu 3 was the same in that regard. I had to make sure by going to dcrainmaker's blog - Garmin Venu 2 Plus In-Depth Review | DC Rainmaker
No, it doesn’t do so-called voice/audio prompts for laps and such like the Forerunner and Fenix series can. It’s a quirky omission.
It does do voice announcements using the watch speaker for laps. But seemingly only if you manually set the lap. Not automatically. Not sure if it's a bug.
Works perfect for me as well. Announces lap time and distance
Thanks. Does it do it automatically at every mile?
