I just got a Venu 3 and want to use the Workouts feature more effectively. If I have use a Strength workout, I can set the Target Type to Reps. I understand the general limitations of the watch counting reps but for exercises like a biceps curl, it works fine. What I want to do is have the watch count up to the number of reps I defined and automatically advance to the next step (like a 15 second rest). I want it to at least alert me that I hit the target. Currently, it seems I can continue the exercise and the watch just keeps on counting. If I set a time target, it does what I want (counts down as the target is reached and then moves on to the rest period).
There was a similar question on the VA4 forum but it was closed without any replies.
What am I missing? Why even have a number of reps predefined in the step if I have to look at the watch to see when the target has been reached?
