No ECG, no body temperature and practicly nothing new

My wife has old Vivoactive 3 and need replacement. So deadline is Christmas. I put big hopes on Venu 3.

She said that new watch must have ECG and some other things. Among other things is body temperature.

But Gramin didint deliver anything. We live in Europe so no ECG for us from Garmin.

I will wait till Novemeber if Garmin do miracle and bring us updates with ECG, body temperature and some surprises. Or there willl be new Samsung watch or maybe something else.

Hey, you can't say there's nothing new. At 550€, the price of the 45 mm version is now above the MSRP of a comparable AW8. That's something.

Speaking for the ECG, as DC Rainmaker mentions in his review:

The new Garmin ELEVATE V5 sensor isn’t yet certified for ECG. Although it's not confirmed, it is quite likely it will get added as functionality later on. Since you're waiting for Christmas anyway, you got loads of time to wait this out + a probably cheaper price by then.

Not sure if the skin temperature functionality is also related to pending certification. It's kinda strange that everything from the leaks was right, except for this.

Yep, Garmin never disappoints with price, prices keep rising. We are nearing breaking point i think.

Yea, but i live in one of the European countrys so i dont think we will get ECG anytime soon. Garmin like to take their time.

It is not worth the price anyhow, be it with ESg or not. Better look at other options/watches.

The enablement of ECG came pretty far after the release of the Venu 2 Plus, here's hoping it has a quicker pass thru certification for the Venu 3.

Well my wife has enough of waiting for ECG, Garmin is silent about this, they dont want answer if there will be ECG and when, so i bought Samsung galaxy watch 6 for her, and we will get A8 tab for free also. I see big problem in battery life in watch 6, but wife dont mind to charge it every other day.

So does anyone has any clue when new models with ECG for Europe will coome out and other functions too, like skin temperature and so on. I am running out of patince myself too. I have fenix 6 and practicly in 4 years nothing new of importance came out from Garmin.
