How accurate is Garmin Venu 2 for daily calorie calculation?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using the Garmin Venu 2 for tracking workouts and daily activity, and I’m curious about how accurate its calorie estimates are for real-world fitness goals.

I recently compared my watch data with an online tool that calculates your calorie need based on age, height, weight, and activity level (similar to a James Smith–style calorie calculator). The numbers are close, but not always the same.

For those of you who use the Venu 2 regularly:

  • Do you rely on it to calculate daily calories?

  • How accurate do you find it for fat loss or maintenance?

  • Do you cross-check it with another calculator that calculates your calorie need?

Would love to hear real experiences from long-term users. Thanks!
