Hi Garmin team,
I’m honestly getting quite frustrated at this point. This is now the fifth time my Venu2’s sensors have stopped working after a software update. After my last post, the watch got another update and worked fine for about a week… and now the same issue is back again — no heart rate, no SpO2, no sensor readings at all. It seems like the faulty sensor update is pushed on a weekly basis.
I rely on this watch for my training and races, and it’s incredibly disappointing to have to deal with this over and over. It's clearly a faulty sw update related issue which you can solve easily. You just need to do a root cause analysis on why the sw gets overwritten with an incorrect version which deactivates the sensors.
To be totally honest, it’s starting to feel like I’m being pushed toward buying a new watch, which reminds me a bit of how older iPhones suddenly became sluggish after their warranty ran out. I really don’t want to believe Garmin is going down that path.
Can someone please look into this and let us know if a permanent fix is in the works? Many of us depend on these devices and just want them to work reliably.
Thanks in advance.
