Venu 2s keeps switching itself off

I've had my Venu 2s for about 2 years. Over the past couple of weeks it has been turning itself off when I pressed the button to stop an activity. When I plugged it back in it would allow me to save the activity.

Now it has started randomly turning itself off in the middle of an activity.

I've read other posts on the Garmin forum and it seems to have maybe been caused by a software update and there doesn't seem to be a solution to it.

  • Actually, after the post above, I asked Garmin for support (in exchanging the battery), and they immediately emailed me for exchange of the watch for free (they will send a refurbished one "Recertified"), without any cost. If the refurbished one arrives, and it is in good condition and lasts more 3 years, I think I will be OK with it. Crossing my fingers. Anyway, is a better solution than trying locally to change the battery in a non certified shop. I agree with you, my expectancy in terms of lifespan is that it should last much more than 3 year (and they should actually already have a functionality to better manage the batter - like limiting charging to 80% of the battery).
