Why is the heart rate monitor of my Venu 2 Plus not working anymore?

Dear all,

As posted on this forum in different instances the heart rate monitor of my Garmin Venu 2 Plus watch is not working anymore. There has been no clear reason for it to all of a sudden stop working. Starting heart rate monitoring works (green light at the back of the watch) but it immediately turns back of.

Software issues has been named but I've not come across a clear solution yet. Is there anyone who can help me out?

I recommend the following

Try a hard reset then test
1. Press and hold the top side button for 15 seconds until the screen turns black.
  2. Disregarded any messages that may appear on the screen.
  3. Once the watch is off, press and hold the top side button for 2 seconds and let go. You should see a triangle appear. Wait for watch to complete bootup.
Toggle the Heart Rate Monitor off and back on using this article. Please leave it turned off for 10 seconds or so before turning it back on
