Venu 2 keeps turning off

My 2 year old Venu2S keeps turning off part way through walking activity. Today at 65% charge it saved part of the walk while I was still walking and then turned itself off. The only way to get it to turn back on was to put it back on the charger. It becomes almost a daily occurrence now. Can you please advise in how to fix it?

  • I apologize for this disruption. If you are experiencing this, please contact Garmin Support in your region. It is possible that your device will need to be exchanged, and exchanges cannot be initiated via the Forums

  • The same issue with 2.5 years old VENU 2s , watches turn off radomly, also show battery life for example 60%, after turn on show 90%. Its not old device to behave like that... also it was not cheap..

  • Hi All,

I use my venu 2s from 3 years now and everything was fine since now. But since 3 or 4 weeks my watch crashes systematically during an activity. When trying to restart it, the battery low screen appears. But when coming back home and plugin the watch, the battery is not empty at all !!

I've read that this problem was appaering on older software but I've not read something new since 3 years on this subject.

Can someone from Garmin team is aware of such issue on this current software ?

    Thanks

  • Having the exact same problem on my Venu 2. Garmin had me restart my watch a few ways but no fix. Running the same software and issue started probably a month ago as well.

  • I have the exact same issue with my 2 year old venu 2s. Seen like a common issue:-(

  • Same for me.  Makes the watch effectively useless for activity tracking (golf in my case) which was the main reason for getting the watch.

  • I have a similar issue with my Venu 2.I have the dreaded BSOD, watch LED screen is unresponsive despite the green laser light underneath being on.I have tried to reset as per Garmin tutorials, connected it via Garmin Express and still the LED is still black.Button presses respond as you get a vibration but cannot see what's happening or the menus due to the Black screen of death.I hope someone from Garmin can step and help.Currently running 19.05 firmware.

  • Ok, for anyone who finds this.  I just went to garmin support, as directed above.  My best option (and likely for the rest of you) is to accept their offer to get a refurb of the same model for $140 because at 2.5Y we are out of warranty... My watch has been crashing during activities with plenty of charge and I'm running 19.05.  Whatever is wrong, they can't fix...  and for what its worth, i sent the link to this thread with the similar issues / similar software / similar watch age...

  • Thank you. It is better than nothing, as I really liked the watch. What's the process of getting a refurb model?
