VENU 2 HRM ISSUE

I have owned a Garmin Venu 2 since two years ago. Since the last summer, I have problem with the HRM that seems not working properly. I have to restart my watch to get the HRM back in order again. However , after a couple of hours, the sensor stops again both in activity mode or not. I was looking in your forum for similar issues finding a thread that is already closed. My UI version is 17.04 for the moment. Please let me know how this is possible to be resolved.

  • I would like to add that I performed a hard reset and nothing changed after that. The issue remains.

  • I am having the same problem that has just gotten worse since the last software update in November. That update resulted in the sensor on my watch not recognising it is actually on my wrist. As such, no heart rate, no oxygen meter, no calorie tracking, nothing. The issue started about a year and a half ago and normally a hard reset would fix it. But now, not even that helps. I am hoping a new software update comes out to fix this, but it has been THREE MONTHS since the last update.

  • I also contacted a local Garmin provider. They told me that if the watch is out of warranty, I should pay for the check and maybe repair it. They follow the Garmin guides(It is normal) but this is crazy since it is something that most Venu 2 owners have as a problem. So this is a common issue and not a user's fault. I am asking from Garmin to solve the problem without having to pay for something that I had already paid for (I purchased the watch). Please Garmin, help me.

    Thank you in advance

  • I just experience the issue yesterday morning. The watch worked fine the whole night tracking heart rate, pulse Ox and my sleep. took the watch off to take a shower and the next thing is it stopped working after i put it on back. worked like 5 minutes and puff the lights turned off and no matter what reset/restart i did it wasn't helping.

  • when you put the always on display on, does it actually work? Since the sensor that detects that the watch is on my arm is not working, the always on display also does not work.
