Heart Rate Recovery - Venu 2

After reviewing numerous posts about heart rate recovery (HRR) stats, specifically related to the Venu 2, I have found the following:

1. Venu 2 will give HRR after your workout AND after you've pressed button A to stop your workout recording AND you do not save or otherwise manipulate your device for 2 mins following.

2. The Venu 2 will buzz you and display your HRR after that 2 min time lapse.  THEN you can save your workout.

Further...

Garmin Connect WILL display your HRR in the Activity data set, but only if you allow Venu 2 to calculate HRR, as described above.  If you immediately save your workout without waiting that two minutes, it will not calculate your HRR, and there is no way to go back to do so (that I have found).

If you do not allow it to calculate your HRR before saving the activity, you will only get your Average HR and Max HR in the data set.

If you do allow it to calculate your HRR before saving the activity, you will get Average HR, Max HR, and Recover HR (as shown below in my "walking" activity).
