Hi Garmin forum team!
Currently, every time I receive a notification outside of Do Not Disturb mode, my watch's screen turns on in addition to the vibration. I have found this to be rather intrusive, and when I'm in public, it feels like I have a lack of privacy. I eventually found the setting that allows me to hide my notification's content (which wasn't intuitive to find as I had to do this through my phone's Connect app, and there was no description as to what the 'Privacy' setting did), but my screen still turns on.
I would like to request a setting where every time I get a notification on my watch, I can still get the vibration but my screen stays off until I use a gesture (wrist turn) or action (button press) to see the notification.
This feature is standard on WearOS and I'm sad to have lost this level of privacy when I switched to Garmin.
I imagine this feature would be easy to implement and I hope it can make its way to my watch soon.
Does anyone else have this issue or found a way to resolve it?
