Hi everyone,
my Garmin Venu 2, which I got last summer, is crashing during most of my activities.
Whenever I start an activity like hiking, running, cycling or weightlifting, my watch will turn off after after 30-60 seconds. If I try starting it again, it will show me the empty battery symbol or the blue triangle, without starting. Once I connect it to a charger, it will immediately start, show that the battery is at its previous charge (can be >90%), and continue the activity. It also happens with the debit card function.
It all started around 22.8.2023 and initially I managed to finish some 30min activities while others crashed, but now it crashes immediately during all activities except cardio.
Occasionally, after waiting for a few minutes, I'm able to start the watch again, sometimes not.
I set the the pulsoximeter to "only during sleep" and I don't have the always-on-display.
I checked the other entries in this forum and my issue differs a bit from the other crashes:
- the charge of my battery go down before turning off, it just crashes immediately even with high battery charge
- it only turns off during activities and debit card payments (right after activation of wallet mode, before the actual payment)
- there is no vibration when it turns off
I also tried a hard reset (settings -> system -> reset) but this didn't improve the situation. Software version is 15.20 (current). I believe my watch made an update after the first crash, and during the update it crashed again despite battery charge being >60%, this may or may not contribute to the issues. The issue is worsening steadily as far as I can tell.
I'm grateful for any advice.
Best regards, Viktor
