Venu 2 delivered without a charging cable

Received a new Venu 2 today however the package came without a charger. There is a plastic case inside however it was opened and empty after I unboxed it.

The watch was purchased through Amazon during the Prime Day Sale.

Has anyone experienced this with Amazon or in general?

  • The only "seal" was a small clear tape circle at the inner/outer cube box edge.

Mine arrived Wednesday 6 PM and inside the cardboard 'cube' box with the watch and two booklets was a small taped closed, clear envelope with the charger cable inside coiled with a wire wrap around it.

It is a USB and a rather short cable with the proprietary Garmin Plug, I do wish it was induction (wireless) charging enabled.

Your Amazon order page has a link for replacing items and you should have a replacement by the time a watch charge is needed.

I've had nothing less than perfect service from Amazon for over ten years. (Same for eBay)

  • Unfortunately, my watch came uncharged. I've ordered a charger from Amazon which is arriving sometime today.

For lack of better words at the time I used "case", but yes it was a clear envelope that was actually inside. But mine was empty and already opened.

  • On further inspection after having charged it, it appears that the watch sent to me by Amazon isnt even a Garmin Venu 2 and is a completely different smartwatch altogether.

    Absolutely frustrating experience...

  • Absolutely frustrating experience...

No doubt about that. My greatest frustration was having to wait for eight days for delivery, but to be fair, this was exactly what was promised in the order.

This 'Prime Day' deal of a Venu 2s for less than 63% of normal cost was too good to pass up. My previous experience with TWO FitBit's and then a wonderful alternative in the Garmin "Vivosmart 4" (similar cheap price) in 2021 sealed the deal for me. Amazon is a "Dealer" and unlike eBay, you usually must accept their 'seller' of the *minute*. In my case, this was "GPS Nation" (a B&M store) with a great rep... Later in the day, their 'sellers' were of much poorer rep.

With any Garmin watch, you must first install their "Connect" app on your smartphone. Unlike "FitBit's" annoying app, it does a great job and has no "Premiums" to sell. No subscription to purchase for the storing option of your past health stats over previous years. You can even 'share' this data with your Physician and/or others.

For me it's this free app that makes Garmin's smartwatch's my first choice.

A Connect Pairing of your new watch will precisely ID it (if a Garmin) and is necessary to set it up and control it.

^*The "Honey" shoppers' addition will rate sellers and often open a choice of them for you within Amazon. *
