My Venue 2 S will only charge to a max of 86%, even if I turn it off and charge overnight
How old is it?
16 months. I got it 30th March 2022
Others here (in another thread) have reported serious battery issues (gets down to 50% then rapidly dies, all in less than a day) and Garmin has replaced them with refurbished Venues.
If your performance is also reduced, you should qualify for that.

Newer iPhones sometimes (but not always) limits charge to 80%.
My iPhone 12 shows "battery health" of 88% but still often charges to 100%...
