Auto illumination issue?

Hi, it looks like the illumination stays the same no matter if it's bright outside or not, in Auto illumination mode. See below:

Proof that Auto illumination is On:

In darkness (the blue tint around is because the screen is really bright and my phone camera sensor is saturated):

In the sun (hardly visible):

With the same watchface, my old Venu didn't behave that way.

Going into its Service menu, I can see the sensor going from 0 (pitch black) to over 11,000 (shining a light straight at it) so I know the sensor is working. Is it a known bug or am I misunderstanding how Auto Illumination works on the Venu2 ? I'm at firmware version 12.13

To get into the Service menu, I had to reboot the watch and I can report that since then, the auto illumination has been working correctly.

If this only happens occasionally, it may be due to the watch being in battery saver mode. This will change the behavior of the watch and disable or lower functionality such as brightness. If this does not help, please reach out to your local Garmin support team for further assistance.

Hi, thanks for the answer. No, it's constant and the watch is at over 90% battery charge.
