Heart rate monitor not working, & getting a QR Code

Hello,

I have a Garmin Venu 2S. Randomly the heart rate sensor stopped working. It's turned on in the settings, but the sensor lights aren't flashing. I've factory-reset it multiple times, updated it to the most recent update, and now I'm getting a QR Code when I turn the watch on. The QR Code has an ESN # 3374612260. When I click any button it brings me to an option to run a CTP Test, so I ran it (not really knowing what I'm doing) and it says everything Passes, except "Internal" gets an "INV" reading. Could this have anything to do with the heart rate sensor not working? I love this watch and would like to fix it, it's practically useless for training without the heart rate.

Thank you!

  • It sounds like you are in Test Mode. To exit, please hold down the upper right button until the watch turns off. Then, turn it back on but make sure you let go of the top right button as soon as you see the screen light up.

If you are still not getting heart rate data, check to see what your sensor hub and WHR versions are:

    1. Hold the bottom right button
    2. Select  the gear wheel > System > About > scroll down. If you see 0.00 for sensor hub or WHR, please plug your watch into a computer if possible and check for updates using Garmin Express. After Garmin Express is finished checking for updates: sync, and then safely eject. After a few moments, the watch may prompt you to install an update.

If this does not work and you are still seeing no green lights under the watch, please reach out to your local Garmin Product Support agent.
