New to Garmin and Venu 2 - Sleep Score not accurate due to erroneous Stress state

I have had the Venu 2 for a couple weeks now, and for the past week the Venu has registered 50 or below.  I think this is largely being driven by the Stress score.  If you look at second chart, you can see within 30 minutes of bed time it's flipping to register me as "stress" / orange instead of "rest" state when I was already in "rest" state.  What is causing this to flip to "stress" and how can I fix it?  It's almost as if when I start sleeping it puts me in Stress state.

Sidebar - I definitely don't feel like I'm getting as bad sleep as this.  I have been a Fitbit user for 10+ years, and am familiar w/the bad and good of my sleep situation - mostly good.  However, the Garmin scores are SO low,  I don't know whether to call my doctor or return this Venu 2 and go back to Fitbit.  It is odd too because it logs more hours of sleep than I think I get, but also doesn't seem to pick up on quality.  I can see no improvement in scores when I do different things to improve it.

THANKS for any help!!!

  • High stress indicates low HRV readings compared to your personal baseline. It's extremely hard to tell what's causing this, ranging from faulty device to medical condition. I'd suggest contacting Garmin Support.
