I have a Venu2 that is about 4 months old. Originally the elevation seemed pretty accurate. Now it is absolutely terrible. I’ve tried cleaning the sensor. Is this a common problem?

Venu2 altitude way off

  • Hi,

I have the same issue. I have Venu2 almost two years and it is watch number 3 (two previous were replaced because the same problem)

What is strange, that if i calibrate barometer using GPS - It shows correct altitude, but if I use "save my location" (using the same GPS!?) it shows absolutely wrong elevation (like 14000 meters or -8000 meters). I can not understand it. Nothing helps...

I will try to chat with the Garmin Support and if not - I will replace my watch once again (and will NOT buy Garmin in future)

  • Yes,

I was told by the support that I need to replace my watch.
