Problems with Venu 2s version 10.18 update

My Venu 2s was updated to v10.18 on Thursday. After that there have been gaps in HR, steps, stress and body battery at least. HR related data has gaps also in watch, but for steps watch seems ok but in Garmin Connect you can see gaps in steps chart. Anyone else having similar issues after update? I have restarted watch already.

  • Having the same problems - updated my watch and now I have whole sections of the day with no readings at all, both sleep and stress. The readings that are shown are completely bizarre, but mostly just huge chunks of nothingness throughout each day.

  • Try

    1. restart the watch Venu 2 Series Owner's Manual - Restarting the Watch
    2. hard reset the watch (reset to factory defaults - you will have to cfg the watch from scratch): Venu 2, hard reset, 2-button method

    I do #2 every time the watch firmware is updated.

    Well.... maybe, just maybe it helps to fix your problems....
    I read in a few posts in the past that hard reset fixed specific issues after fw update....

    So I do it every time the watch firmware is updated against my will (see my previous post in this thread) in hope it helps to eliminate possible issues.

  • My Venu 2s was updated to v10.18 on Tuesday evening. I didn’t notice anything until Weds morning when it was still trying to update and it kept showing “software update”, this went on for most of the morning. Wednesday afternoon and evening it was showing the blue triangle so I tried a soft reset 3 times but the problem still existed. It ran the battery down and I had to recharge it. On going to bed it was still showing a blue triangle. Today the blue triangle was still there and I tried another soft reset. The watch was ok for 2 hours then started showing a blue triangle again intermittently. I went out for a walk and the triangle disappeared so I mapped my walk but after an hours walk at a fairly fast pace all the data is incorrect (0.39 miles at a slow pace for an hours walk). My watch is less than 12 months old.

    Garmin please can you correct this software release. It is clearly causing issues for users and we shouldn’t need to soft reset or do a hard reset after a firmware update. I feel like it’s pointless wearing my watch now. Please can you help.

  • Same here... :-( I ended up downgrading the software to 9.17. Which is a pain in itself. You loose all settings, have to remove and reconnect to Garmin Connect Mobile. The first sync is taking ages... Let's hope this solves something.

  • How you manage to avoid the automatic upgradeing now? From what I read, you can downgrade it but you will face the upgrade again due to automatic upgrading feature which cannot be disabled :(

  • Venu 2 PLus - Since update 2 days ago to 10.18 all is well except no sleep score or sleep graph.

    At the moment there is just silence from them - it's ridiculous after a firmware release...
