No GPS tracks for walking activities

Hi,

when recording an outdoor walking activity with the Venu 2S of my wife, no GPS track is recorded. Also, the activity does not have the name of the location, but simply "Walking". Curiously, it does have the elevation profile, which should not be possible if there were no GPS signal.

After this happened yesterday, we payed extra attention that the GPS signal was received before starting the activity today, but still nothing. GPS is enabled in the settings for this activity.

The watch is running version 9.17

Does it show the route on the watch but not on the app when you look at past activities?

The watch has a barometric altimeter, which provides altitude data even when there's no GPS signal.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that, thanks.

The activity does not show the map on any device (watch, phone, web).

BUT: a restart of the watch fixed the problem :) Should have done that before asking for help, sorry. But maybe it helps someone else.
