Bad GPS tracks since some time

For some time I've noticed that the GPS tracks of my usual walking routes have a significantly higher drift and are much more shaky than before. Was there a recent GPS software update that could have this deleterious effect?

There was a GPS issue early in July, but it should be resolved by now. Try updating your watch if you can, see if that takes care of it.

My watch was updated to 9.17 and the CPE was up to date and it is up to date. The issue happens, but the extent is quite different from time to time.
