Venu 2 not updating from 8.15 to 9.17

Venu 2 not updating from 8.15 to 9.17

I've tried:

1) Garmin Express on PC

2) Garmin Connect Mobile on Android

3) Watch System/Software Update (with WiFi connection)

Always get "No Updates Available"

I've also tried resetting the watch to defaults, and that did not help.

Otherwise watch works fine and can sync over Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile or Wifi

  • You probably have an APAC version of the watch, which is always the last to get the updates regardless of what the Garmin rep says here about the rollout status.

    APAC versions usually get the latest release update a few months after everyone else.

    No use complaining about it here, we are just ignored. Been there, done that.

  • Thank you - after reading other posts that seems a likely case as it also doesn't accept beta firmware.
    I bought it on Amazon - I don't know how to verify it is APAC - but I'll just wait a while to see if it updates.

  • I don't remember a ROW version 8.15, to be honest. If you got an APAC watch and don't live in the APAC region, you should get in touch with Amazon. 

  • Thanks - I'll contact Amazon (the answers to questions on Amazon mention ROW - but it really seem to be APAC according to its behavior)
    I've also contacted Garmin with serial number to verify.
    I bought it a couple months ago.

    I do see in languages that my watch allows languages (Vietnam, Bali, etc) and I now I've accidentally set to some other language.
