activity calories

Hello,

I know this is a classic question but I did not find any solution on previous similar topics.

I have a concept2 rowing machine and I usually make 1h long workout.

I use a polar H10 chest strap and also monitor my activity with the PM3 monitor of the concept2.

H10 and PM3 give approximately the same calories but Garmin results are very different (25% lower).

Example : yesterday, 1h workout, H10 gives 760kCal, PM3 780 kCal (with adjustement with regards to my weight), my venu 2 gives 600kCal.

On these 600 kCal, my venu 2 indicates something like 500 active calories, so the difference can not be explained by the addition of rest calories in polar/PM3 as garmin also adds rest calories in its measure.

I have already entenred a manual value for my VO2max but it does not help with this difference (weight and age are ok), do you know if there is an other setting that could help ?

Last, the same kind of workout (same duration, same average bpm) in november has been quoted around 720kCal by my venu 2(I have this information on my history). I guess that the difference between a november measure which seems almost accurate and a may measure which is far from it may be linked to a software version change ?

Thanks for any insight
