Venu 2S won't stop vibrating until forced shutdown

I received a Venu 2S yesterday but thinking I must have a faulty unit. A triangle will randomly show up on the watch face and then it starts vibrating non-stop until I hold the power button down for 30 seconds to shut it off. The light at the back also gets noticeably hot when it does this.

I've realised I also trigger the vibrating episodes by clicking the + sign in the hydration section. Surely this is not normal?

  • Hi, there is a bug with the installed hydration app where it randomly adds glasses of water on it’s own, might be what’s causing your issue.  Delete the app and then find it in the Connect IQ store and add it back in.  The newer version is supposed to have been fixed.

  • Thanks CindiL. Since I posted it got worse. The frequency of the random vibrating episodes increased, and kept happening out of the blue. I'm not sure it is related to the hydration app as it's not adding cups. If someone else has had the exact same issue happen please let me know!

It doesn't seem normal to have to force shutdown every couple of hours, so going to return the watch. How hot the light gets also seems a little dangerous.

  • looks like you are due for a software update on the watch.  Please sync your Venu 2s with Garmin Express.

How Do I Install Garmin Express?
