Venu 2 Move Alert Question

Hi,

I'm a bit surprised about the inactivity alarm. First, the watch tells me to be active although I'm preparing breakfast for the family. Next, the alarm will not reset although I'm doing the vacuum cleaning, mobbing, and other household activities. Is this normal, or is my watch simply not sensible enough?

With the move bar, the large segment is an hour with too few steps, and the 4 smaller ones are each additional 15 minutes. To clear all 5 it takes about 200 steps without stopping. If you are using the…

I don’t know but noticed the same thing. I have a feeling it gauges activity by steps and not by HR obtained while doing house hold chores. You probably have to meet a certain number of steps for it to clear it.

If you are using the vacuum, you aren't taking continues steps. In fact you'll probably take few steps and if you are holding the vac with the same arm as you are wearing the watch, count even fewer steps.

Thank you for your answer. I walked on the spot, counted about 200 steps and the alarm was reset. It was much easier with my first fitness tracker. Here you just had to shake your arm a bit and it was done. Maybe the VENU 2 is a bit more precise.

I have found this to me a general Garmin trait having seen the same on my Vivoactive 4. It definitely takes a lot more to reset than my former Samsung watch.

And what about driving in a car? Is there any drive mode to disable these alerts or should I stop and walk around car everytime even when I am not feeling exhausted?
