Battery life estimate issues

Hi All,

I have a Venu 2 which I bought around Sept 2021 and was getting 11/12 days of battery life consistently until around 2 months ago which is starting to get a bit annoying as I mainly came over to Garmin from an Apple Watch due to the promise of better battery life and now I have to charge the watch a lot more than before. The watch has not been updated and when I do try to update it via the Connect app, nothing happens.

Would be grateful if anyone can shed some light on whether there are fixes to this or whether this is a common problem at all?

I use the watch for 40-60 mins of swim tracking 3 times per week and that's really it. It stays on during the night for sleep tracking, but that's really it.

  • How many days are you getting between charges? The biggest drains are Pulse OX on at night, Always on Display turned on, listening to music often from the watch instead of the phone, GPS.  Some watch faces will drain the battery strangely, so try a different watch face.  After that, brightness settings and display settings (how long or short the display stays on when you receive a message) will shorten it some, not days though.

Try updating it by downloading Garmin Express to a pc then login and sync to it.  It will allow you to do the update immediately there.  Sometimes you have to clean off old fit files or watch faces temporarily if there isn’t enough room for the update.
