When I'm using my current Forerunner watch, I have one-mile laps set up for running and walking, and during an activity when I hit a lap distance I get an audio message announcing the lap number and lap time that comes through on my phone from Garmin Connect. If I'm listening to something on my wireless earbuds, as I usually am, I'll hear it through them. This is very convenient for keeping track of my pace and easier than having to quickly look at the watch, especially if it's under a couple of winter layers.
My understanding is that the Venu series (and I think Vivoactive as well) does not support this feature. Is this correct? Frankly I'd consider this a showstopper for me seriously considering one of these watches.
