Animations with pilates, yoga, etc

Hey everyone,

I understand that this has been complained about before, so I'm just bringing it up again in the hopes that a change could be implemented as a feature request ().

The other night I wanted to see what these Yoga animations were all about. I started an activity and it showed an animation of how to do the pose, but at the same time it started a countdown in the background. Before I could finish my attempt at said pose, it started the next one - but this time I had to swipe down a few times to get to the animation. By the time I worked that out, next pose started! I was a bit quicker that time, swiped down quickly, and then watched the animation play out to work out how to do the pose, and you guessed it - by the time I worked it out, next pose started.

I just don't get the implementation at all. The animations being there lead me to believe it's geared towards newcomers. But the speed it goes through things tell me it's more geared towards experienced people and the animations are just a bit of an afterthought. It's really puzzling.

It would make a lot more sense if there were an option to show the animations for X amount of time before the next part of the activity started, to give newcomers some time to make sense of what they are about to do before the timer starts.

I have read other suggestions and some say you can view the animations before starting, but to me this isn't really a good work around because one would sometimes have to memorize many poses before starting something.

  • I'm super annoyed with this "feature" as well.. In my case the animations stay on for 3-5 poses and then the screen changes to show other data screen. Then I have to swipe after every single pose to get the animations back on the screen. I just can't see the logic behind this setup. I really like how the tutorial animations are designed but it's just a pain in the *** to use them..
