Heart rate issues after 8.11 update

I have noticed that since the update to 8.11 my heart rate seems to be recording much lower on Cardio sessions.  Prior to the update my average HR was about 110-120 for a 15 minute core workout with the max about 145-155, but since the update the average HR has been 91-97 with a max of 114-123.  I have just tried a 5 minute punch-bag session with my old Forerunner 235 on the opposite wrist in 'other' activity mode and this showed a difference of at least 20pbm to the Venu 2.

I would note that my HR for running seems to be recording OK, and no noticeable difference to how it was prior to the update.

  • My Hr measures is down considerably as well.   I just compared with the hrm dual, and the watch is about 20-25 beats off when my hrm dual shows 130-140 bpm.

  • Oh, glad I´m not the only one.. Was running on treadmill today and my HR was lower by approx 20beats the whole time (16-25bmp). My average from last Monday from runnign was 148bpm and today it was 126bpm.

Sadly its not only that. I have noticed that on my "lunch break walk" its showing 77Kcal instead of 145Kcal (was kinda consistent before). So thats half. How should one have trust to any measurements now. Never had problem like these on vivoactive 3.

  • My Venu 2S was recording heart rate well until this update. Doing the same cardio activity this week with lots of fast hand/arm movements causes the watch to lose the heart rate measurement for a few minutes at a time. Not good. Bring back update 5.38 please.

  • I have the same problem. Something changed after 30 april. Now all my crossfit workouts heart rate look this picture. High intensity and my heart rate doesn't get past zone 3 according to my Venu 2
