Battery loss during night (when watch is not worn!)

Hello,

Very happy of my Venu 2 but I am also facing to some battery issues from the beginning and sometimes when I wake up, my watch is at 10% battery.
I have found some topics about some battery drops during the night but in my case, I never wear my watch during the night so it's even more suprising.
It doesn't happen every night hopefully but it's clearly not normal.

I even care of placing my watch on the screen (which I don't like to do for the screen) but I want to be sure the captors don't try to catch my heart rate by confusing my wood bedside table with my skin but it seems it doesn't help.

So Garmin team, what can I do? (my watch is up to date, updated on yesterday through automatic system update, no custom watchface, very basic but regular use)

Thanks!

  • Well I reply to myself since I noticed that since I had the watch, only sensors or GPS were updated but not the watch firmware that was still in 5.38 (I didn't setup any wifi).

So I have updated it 8.11, I will see if it's better now.

  • Have you tried turning it off at night? Mine loses about 2% even when off for several hours. It might be trying to detect a wrist all night while it's turned on but not on a wrist. Doesn't make much sense but it could be.
