Cant update to Venu 2 Beta 8.05

I have downloaded and copied over the GUPDATE.GCD file to the Garmin folder on the Venu.

When I disconnect the Venu 2, nothing happens and the software level stays at 5.38

I have done a 15 second restart, re-downloaded the beta zip file, and so far still cant install the beta

Any ideas?

Do you have an APAC device or a world wide device? The beta FW is only for world wide devices.

Auto update is on, but beta software is always a manual installation

I recall having to copy over two files. Check the instructions that came with the .zip file.

Edit: from the install page:

Download and unzip venu2_805Beta.zip. Place the GUPDATE.GCD file into the \GARMIN directory of the device. Place the 006B219607.GCD and 006B379907.GCD files into the \GARMIN\RemoteSW directory of the device.

Yep, copied over the 3 files, GPS software updated but main OS software did not. Retried multiple time but still can’t get main software to update.
