Venu 2: Hydration App Miscounting Added and Subtracted Cups

Hi,

Ever since the last Hydration app update a few days ago, when incrementing the number of cups from 4 to 5, the surrounding bar elongates as though the number of cups was increased, but the number itself don't change and stays 4. Then on the next increment, it goes to 6.

Same goes for the hydration widget in the Garmin Connect mobile app - it won't display the number 5, even though when entering (tapping) the widget to update the drinks count, you can see 5 cups.

  • I’m having a similar issue, I’ve got 2,3 and 4 cups for my quick adds, and the normal +/- for single cups. If I hit 4, it only adds 3 cups, then if I hit the + to add one more cup, it adds two and goes to 5 cups. If I hit - to go down to 2 cups, then hit the +2 quick add, it adds three and goes to 5 cups. If I hit - again to get it to 4, it drops down two, and goes to 3 cups. Only started happening after the recent update.

  • I'm seeing the same thing. I have 12, 16, and 20oz increments on my hydration widget. Sometimes adding one of those increments results in 1 less oz being added instead of the amount selected, and it'll be an odd number, which is impossible.

    Also, I work in a secure area where I cannot have my phone with me or nearby, but my watch is allowed since there's no microphone or recording capability. In this scenario, where my watch is disconnected from my phone, my watch will refuse to save the amount of water consumed and I have to remember and add it again the next time I'm near my phone. This is annoying and was not an issue with my previous Venu.

    Another issue with hydration tracking on the Venu 2 is that it will not let me add hydration during an activity, which also was not an issue with my original Venu. This seems counter intuitive given it's usually during an activity when you're consuming the most water, esp. if you're on a long 90+ min run like I go on often and very annoying during 6+ hour 65k+ events like I'm running.

    Please fix these issues on the Venu 2.

  • I have the same issue and my heart rate is much too high when starting an activity. I use now a second item to track heart rate until, after a few minutes, garmin venu sq is synchronized with that second item.

  • I'm also having a similar issue. The Connect app is consistently showing 1 more cup than I have entered on the watch. When I put 1 cup, it shows 0 in connect. If I have 10, it shows 9 in connect. It's very wonky right now. 

  • we have some other reports of this.  Please start a new thread in the Garmin Connect mobile app version of whichever phone (Apple or Android) that you're using.

  • Hi Kevin, this is also an issue with the Connect website. Connect is consistently showing 1 less cup for me than is entered into my watch whether it be the android app or the website. It's like there is some disconnect in the syncing. 

    I also have the dynamic hydration goal on, and have noticed when my goal increases on my watch, the goal in Connect is always 1 cup lower.
