REQUEST: Default Watch Faces from All/Most Other Smartwatches

Hello,

I would like to request that Garmin make available the other watch faces it has for some of its other smartwatch lines/devices. For example, it would be great if I could use some of the Fenix 7/Epix 2 watch faces on my Venu 2.

I make this request because while its great there are third party developers making their own versions of the default watch faces for other devices; nothing compares to the ones directly from Garmin particularly when it comes to clarity of graphics and more importantly battery optimization.

Also, I understand that Garmin tries to use watch faces as an "added incentive" or distinguishing characteristic of any particular device, but truth be told the hardware for each device does that enough.

At the very least, they should be timed releases. So for example, after 6 months, Garmin could release a watch face from a newly launched device to its other products that support it and whatever version of CIQ framework it runs on.

One final request, it'd be great if the consumers had the ability to select whatever colors they wanted for the watch faces.

Garmin-Kevin, please do what you can to pass this idea along.

  • That would be a nice feature! Even the default faces from within the same device would be great. There's a watchface I love but it's on a different finish of the Venu 2s, and there's no option to create it on mine.

  • I don't know, if it is you're asking about, but have look here:

    https://joshuahxh.com/

It's a great, wonderful, marvelous tool for creating watchfaces. If not Josh, I surely returned my Venu 2. Garmin did not create any tool friendly for user to create really great watchface and Josh has created it independently, he is my hero if it comes to Garmin.

Even my girlfriend has a tool from Huawei that allows her to create wonderful watchfaces, and Garmin gave users only two things: a) stupid "Face it" option on Connect IQ, and b) programming language.

Joshua's page is amazing: you can do a face like you want without much effort. You can adjust colours, data fields, even icons.

You can simply take a look and create a watch face from Epix/Fenix that looks great on Venu 2 Slight smile

One thing is that Venu 2 has only 65536 colours and not every image looks good on it.

  • Hey that's a great tool. Thanks for the tip. It looks like a lot of work to make a custom watch face on that site.

However, I'd rather have Garmin release the official watch faces, especially if they have better battery optimization and clarity of graphics.
