Mass delete notifications on venu 2

Not sure if this is the right place to suggest this to the wizards at Garmin…. It would be super useful to have the ability to mass delete notifications off the watch. Deleting one by one is very clunky & seems archaic in this day and age. So please, wizards, you can do it now you’re entering the “smart” watch realm.

  • This has been suggested a few times already. You can even swipe on multiple messages and get the X for all of them but you can't click them all at once. is there already a user request?

  • by submitting your suggestion using the link below, this will add your voice to other users who already may have submitted this suggestion.

  • Thank you Garmin-Kevin. Will do.

  • I have been looking for a mass clear option and it’s been driving me crazy that there isn’t one.

however, I think I have found a workaround that works for me on my iPhone. My notifications was always showing 25 on the watch face and these were mostly from my Ring doorbell. Clearing them all off the watch took ages.

i decided to try going into the settings on my iPhone - notifications - Ring and turned off notifications. The 25 cleared from the watch immediately (it was already connected) and then I turned the notifications back on. Literally just turned Ring notifications off and on again.

A step more than the mass clear that IS needed, but works beautifully.

  • My feedback on this. I am on 12.05 firm, you can swipe on multiple notifications and get the X to every single one of them ie you have swiped 3 you see 3 Xs on the right side but when you tap any of them only the tapped one is deleted not the other two. So you cannot multi-delete notifications or delete all of them. i have already created a feature request in the garmin form, kindly also pass it through to the support team as this is a very handy feature and is very anoying not to be able to delete many notifications or all of them when you have a large number of them and be limitted to delete them one by one.

  • On Android you can delete all notifications on the watch in one action. I also found an Android app that allows you to set a timer by app or even by specific notification words and delete based on that timer. So for my Ring notifications they stay on the watch for say, 30 seconds, giving me time to glance at them and then they disappear on their own after that.

  • Yes this has been around since the watch was introduced. You would think that since you can mark multiple entries it would be "easy" to have it so the ones you marked all get deleted at once.

  • This is unacceptable for such an expensive watch to try to find workarounds on the phone because Garmin doesn't care to fix it.
